The company is also audited twice a year by Intertek.
Every facet of the operation (except accounting) has written procedures
for every duty performed. Consultants update and maintain our procedures
on a regular basis.
Gehring-Montgomery has implemented the Take Stock distribution
software to fully integrate sales, inventory and accounting providing
users live-time information. The location and lot number tracking of inventory
items ensures our customers timely, accurate delivery of their order.
With our own fleet of trucks and trailers, drivers that are hazmat-endorsed,
and the latest technology, we are prepared to address any challenges faced
in prompt delivery. The company also has interchange agreements with shipping
companies operating out of both New York and Philadelphia ports permitting
transportation of our own containers, including both 20-foot and 40-foot
by 20 metric ton containers via our adjustable container chassis. This
equipment and capability minimizes ocean freight and container transportation
costs.
